Here’s where to celebrate New Years in the Hudson Valley

As the Hudson Valley celebrates the arrival of 2022, New Year’s Eve festivities abound at restaurants, hotels, breweries and more.

It’s been a hell of a year, Hudson Valley. No matter what 2021 looks like to you, there’s no better way to celebrate the arrival of 2022 than with delicious food, great music, and plenty of local libations. Whether you are looking for fine dining with a waterfront view or parties that last until late into the night, there are so many ways to celebrate the New Year in this region.

New Year’s Eve, seats at 5 p.m., 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Four-course pre-fix dinner starting at $ 175 per person

A staple for Hudson Valley foodies, Goosefeather’s dinner is a multi-course affair filled with decadent bites from Chef Dale Talde. The first course includes duck and truffle wontons and char sui royal trumpet mushrooms, while pasta options include minced lamb pappardelle and caviar noodles. For main courses, Talde serves charred lobster in the wok, beef tenderloin and “Buddha’s Feast,” a blend of coconut grits, braised daikon, chili bamboo and a golden egg. The 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. seats cost $ 202.20 per person, both signaling the New Year and adding champagne to dinner.

The Grandvue

The Grandview New Years Gala is a must-see for Hudson Valley revelers. Six hours of upscale open bar is certainly a draw, but the wide variety of cuisine really takes the cake. Try your best not to refuel during the 90-minute cocktail party. Oyster shooters, almond crusted goat cheese medallions, Cubanos, angus sliders, possilippo mussels and many other succulent snacks are served in the early evening. Then, dive into main dishes like filet mignon and pesto chicken breast, all served with a beetroot-burata starter salad. Hudson House River Inn

Cold spring

Vacations are a tradition at the Hudson House River Inn in Cold Spring, a local institution since 1832. Try the famous lobster bisque, New Zealand rack of lamb sprinkled with dijon or the surf and turf. For an additional fee, reserve the second seat to listen to live jazz music. Desserts like blueberry toast, tartufo, and New York-style cheesecakes are the perfect way to leave 2021 in the dust. An evening package includes a full breakfast and late check-out the next morning, plus chocolates and champagne for the late-night celebrations.

Il Figlio Enoteca

Scott Rosenberg of fame Il Barilotto continues to make his mark on the Dutchess County culinary scene. His successor at the beloved Fishkill institution, aptly named Il Figlio Enoteca (il figlio means “the son”), is hosting an elegant New Year’s Eve feast. The Napoléon crisp of eggplants and bresaola carpaccio give way to tagliatelle with seafood fra diavolo, rack of lamb with porcini mushrooms and risotto with truffled mushrooms. If you’re a fan of fine Italian cuisine, you’ll need to give the award-winning Best of Hudson Valley restaurant a chance this holiday season.

Mountainville Manor

New Year’s Eve, 7:30 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Four-course dinner, $ 145 per person

Who missed the live music? Enjoy a cocktail followed by a four-course dinner at Mountainville Manor, an elegant Victorian venue nestled in a Cornwall hamlet. Upbeat music from Hudson Valley band The Differents fuels the party. Some of the Hudson Valley spot’s premier culinary offerings include handmade bucatini with lobster, barolo-braised ribs over polenta, and a domori chocolate pie. Each set of dishes from Executive Chef Craig Shelton arrives with a matching wine. Additions like a champagne toast or a cheese plate make this event even more special.

Millstream Tavern

New Year’s Eve, 5 p.m.-12 p.m.

There’s lots of vibe at Millstream Tavern this New Years Eve. Inspired by the spirit of The Dutch Ale House, this Woodstock Golf Course restaurant features candles, champagne and live music. Chef Vinnie Brisotti designs a four-course tasting menu, which begins with an appetizer like Pink Moon oysters. The former offer octopus toast and winter radicchio salads, while the latter include beef Wellington and fettuccine cacio e pepe. Additionally, Brisotti bought Golden Osetra caviar and white truffles just for the occasion. Add them to any dish for an extra charge. Then indulge in one of two elegant desserts before the ball drops.

For the perfect New Years Eve in the Hudson Valley, reserve a seat at the Roundhouse dinner. A glass of champagne starts the evening, followed by an appetizer and a beautiful four-course dinner. Not only is the food divine, but the fireplace setting and the view of the waterfall add to the intimate and romantic atmosphere. Delicious dishes include Kumamoto oysters, Moroccan langoustine, 30-day dry-aged steak, and duck breast from the Hudson Valley. Albany Distilling Co. New Year’s Party

New Year’s Eve, 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Find a dress and a bodice, because the ball is back! Albany Distilling Co.’s New Years Party celebrates this year with a ’90s ballroom theme. DJ Ayo and Intell Hayesfield provide the beats, while Defazios provides a hearty dinner. Tickets come with four hours of open bar, plus a midnight toast.

New Years Eve ENSEMBLE in Bearsville

New Year’s Eve, 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Live DJ, $ 20 per person

The revived historic Woodstock Theater, Bearsville Theater hosts one hell of a New Year’s party, watch thrilling DJ sets before a fun midnight balloon drop. Musicians, dancers and other live performers join DJs on stage for an eclectic multimedia concert. DJ Lady Verse, Shaman Vybez, Jungle Punk B2B Skillaton and many more keep the energy going all night long.

New Years Eve Dance Party at The Colony

New Year’s Eve, 8 p.m.

Speaking of Ulster County concert venues, The Colony is essential for Hudson Valley dwellers looking for top-notch performances. A battalion of alternative disc jockeys, 90s jams, old school hip hop, old soul, trap classics and everything in between. Flashing lights and haunting video accompany the performers on stage. Dance the night away at this atmospheric Hudson Valley hangout.

Cooper’s Daughter Spirits at Olde York Farm

New Year’s Eve, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Fancy something a little more relaxed on the holiday weekend? Head to Columbia County’s artisanal distillery, Cooper’s Daughter, for creative cocktails, guided tastings, and live music. The Hierba Buena Food Truck provides food in the quaint Cocktail Garden. This event is free and first come, first served.

New Years Cocktail at Diamond Mills

New Year’s Eve, 7 p.m. to midnight
Cocktail with open bar, $ 150 per person

Diamond Mills is home to some of the Hudson Valley’s most memorable vacation experiences. Put on your most elegant outfits and head to Saugerties for New Years Eve for an unforgettable cocktail. Stock up on delicious offers from the themed stations, like the orecchiette from the pasta station or the roasted sirloin at the cutting station. Still hungry to celebrate the arrival of 2022? Head to Mama Roux for a fun brunch, complete with drag entertainment from Victoria Bohmore, Trista Storm, and Cheyenne Storm.
