Hudson Valley’s first Corey pickle store set to open soon
The Hudson Valley will soon have its first Corey’s Pickles store. It is a kind of large dill.
As far as specialty shops go, the Hudson Valley has an interesting selection of stores that seem to have a very specific demographic. I mean, where else can you find a business that is solely dedicated to selling nesting dolls?
So it’s no surprise that a pickle shop is planning to open here in the heart of the Hudson Valley.
However, these are not just ordinary pickles. We’re talking about Corey’s Pickles, some of the best pickles I’ve personally picked up. Corey Bellarosa started his small family business in 2016. After being unable to find the “delicious cold and crunchy pickles” he made with his father in the Hudson Valley, Corey decided to go into business. The rest is history.
Since then, Corey has developed a rabid fan base that can’t seem to get enough of his crunchy pickles. Originally intended for sale at farmers’ markets and specialty stores, Corey’s Pickles has now expanded to ShopRite locations and other retail stores. Demand has become so overwhelming that Corey has now decided to open his own pickle shop.
Corey’s Pickles has secured a small storefront in Montgomery Village and expects to announce its grand opening in a few weeks. According to Bellarosa, the store will carry its full line of freshly prepared pickles in addition to other pickled items like garlic, carrots, peppers, and more.
Corey admits it’s a “small store” but will be stocked with a wide variety of locally made products, supporting as many other small businesses in the Hudson Valley as possible. It plans to offer stuffed olives, soaps and candles, health and wellness products, Himalayan salt products, kombucha, popcorn, jerky, Al’s barbecue sauces , hot sauces and a variety of candies and sodas.
The Hudson Valley’s first-ever pickle mecca will be located at 6 Union Street in Montgomery Village, right next to Java Blue Coffee. You can follow Corey on Instagram for updates on the store’s grand opening.
