Fashion startup Ziel has opened a factory in Newburgh to produce private label clothing on demand. But when COVID hit, Ziel’s founder Marleen Vogelaar turned it into the Hudson Valley Mask Company. Its production line now manufactures masks, isolation gowns and shoe covers and headwear for the medical community, as well as masks for the public. They also donated PPE to first responders and others in need.
